The SIZE of the bay is not the problem. The Difficulty of mounting the engine, tranny, etc. are the problems. It CAN be done. It CANNOT be done easily.

you've gotta give it to honda though. i don't think that there's another car on the road with so many different engines in it. i bet that car hauls ***.

Honda did nothing knowingly to make this swap possible. It was pure effort, money, determination and knowhow on the part of the owner/mechanic. If anything Nissan probably deserves the credit (For the 240sx). People have gotten everything form SR18DET's to RB26DETT's in those bays. There's rumors of a possible rotary 240 being built by a crazy tuner as well. I suppose we'll see if that ever comes to fruition.

Is it possible to put a street legal Evo motor into a U.S. lancer?

Oh for the love of Christ...

Read what HobieKopek wrote. POSSIBLE, yes, for about 15K worth of labor if a pro does it. EASY? Hell no.

That is the coolest Civic ever.

i dont understand or maybe i just didn't read, but the pic of the engine says honda....doesn't look like a 4G63 to me

EDIT: i AM an idiot and this damn monitor is too dark.

that is pretty damn hot if ya ask me. doesn't the SI weigh much less than the eclipse?

there are so many rich H&A drivers compared to both mirage/lancer drivers combined and then some.

too bad he's not the first civic to do this...first civic si coupe yeah...but puerto rico and the philippines have had plenty of cars from corolla's to civic hatchbacks powered by a 4g63t...there's rumors that theres a Civic hatch in puerto rico that has a 4g63t and the AWD system running...is it possible? yes...with alot of friggin custom work!

rotary powered cars are my fav. especially a 13b (rx7 rotary) twin turbo in a very tiny little hatchback corolla AE86! oh baby...

and to add to it there WAS a tubechassis CRX hitting low 9's with a full blown 4g63t...too bad his honda peers didn't like the idea of his motor being a DSM motor so he pulled it out and swapped in a honda motor. sux...car had alot of potential
