It looks to serve the same purpose as nitrous but instead of using actual nitrous to cool your air/fuel, you're using liquid CO2. I don't know anyone who has this kit so I don't know how well it works. It looks pretty nice though, price is almost the same as nitrous but they claim that where you save the money is when you fill your bottle. CO2 is only like a buck a pound where nitrous can be more than twice that.

That kits lowers the temp of the air going into your intake. the same way that cold air from a CAI helps boost HP. You wont get more power than a shot of NOS, but you will get HP without the risk of detonating your engine.

You just want to be sure that the CO2 doesn't leak into you Intake BC CO2 will actually reduce cumbustion, bc fire doesn't like CO2. thats why it is used in Fire extinquishers.

um, since you guys are lancer owners, i'll explain. you can use CO2 to cool off your INTERCOOLER instead of nitrous, it will not help you any if you put it in a NA car, unless you want to include a purge kit to show off. I had nitrous in my civic a long time ago w/ a purge kit. Purging looks really cool but wasted a lot of NOS. NOS is 4 bucks a pound. The only time it's good to purge is right before you use it for a short 1 sec blast to get the gaseous nitrous out. you want to spray liquid NOS. Once you see the cloud while purging, you don't need to purge anymore. anymore purging is just wasteful.

The Cryo2 kit isn't the same as an intercooler sprayer, though it's not very far off either. The idea behind it is to directly cool the intake air (turbocharged or naturally aspirated). Though the principle is similar to and intercooler or and intercooler spray, it's essentially cooling the intake air, regardless of compression in an attempt to squeeze out additional HP. Though I agree, I don't see this being too beneficial unless your intake air is, for whatever reason, hot (i.e. through forced induction). Even then I question the duration this product could be used for. For a short drag it might be beneficial, but for everyday driving it seems terribly excessive, especially on a naturally aspirated engine.

And personally I wouldn't spend the money on this OR nitrous, but I'm not going to get into that topic again since it's been covered ad nauseum already.

if your car is turbocharged then it will work (for your intercooler). don't think you can spray it into your engine because you will loose power and most likely make the engine stall. all you are doing is letting the co2 excape into the atmosphere and the difference in pressure makes it very cold. when they fill the tank up it gets very hot...and when you let it out it gets very cold. it probably has the same cooling effect but you jsut HAVE to make sure it does not discharge anywhere near your intake.

They want you to vent CO2 into the intake charge. That's pretty much the sole intent of the product's purpose. In my mind it just points towards marketing being more effective than results when it comes to generating sales.

*And for the record, I happen to like DEI products, but this is one I couldn't back without substantial proof of efficacy.

the cryO2 kits ive seen before have a bulb that the gas flows through that drops down in to your intake piping. Its just a type of heat exchanger, the concept seems like it would work depending on the temp of the gas
