Exclamation OBX Products

I'm sure many of you have looked at the OBX website(http://www.obxracingsports.com), and seen that they claim to have many parts for the Lancer (even though they do say the engine is 1.8L). So here goes the list of my questions.

1. Does anyone have or has had an OBX CAI, more specifically the one for the Lancer? Is it like Injen and AEM in design, or is the filter placement different? Does it even fit the Lancer? I found it for only $129 at
http://www.speedalliance.com/engine/obx_int_4.html

2. Does anyone know where I can find OBX strut and sway bars online, available for purchase?

3. Does anyone have any other OBX products on their Lancer, and if so, how do you like them?

4. And lastly, this is more a petition than anything else. We will probably have to email OBX LIKE CRAZY to get the parts we want made more available. Just send an email to them info@obxracingsports.com and bug them. Tell them that you are REALLY interested in buying everything they make for the Lancer, even if your not. By doing this, they are likely to produce more parts for out cars.

Yeah. So I think that's everything. Thanks in advance for your help on this one.

They have never produced it...they just plan on doing it in the future....do a search on OBX..it's not a new issue.

So then what's the deal with the CAI's I found online for the Lancer by OBX? Do those not really fit?

This sucks. So PLEASE, just take one minute to email them. Hopefully if we get get someone high up in their company to listen, or maybe even check out this site, maybe they'll start making the stuff again.

Personally, companies like OBX, Matrix etc, are not worth the time to harass about such things when there are is variety of these parts already available.

Variety? Only 2 or 3 brands make CAIs (for sure). About 3, maybe 4 make strut tower braces. 3 make bolt on axel-back exhausts. Etc. That's not enough variety for me. I know the Lancer is pretty new, but come on. There's got to be at least 20 different companies that make CAIs for the newest gen Civic.

When it comes to aftermarket parts, I don't want soft-serve, I want Baskin Robbins.

you will never see very much stuff for the lancer it is not considerd a major tuner car. and now with the EVO out all the companys will foucs on it so new parts for the base model will come even slower

I think AEM is pretty top of the line with CAIs, thats why i got it. You get what you pay for.

i don't think the evo coming out is going to slow production of parts for the lancer, the evo is a completely diffrent market, nsx aftermarket parts don't detract from integra aftermarket parts, also the evo and the fast and the furious 2 which has a lancer evo 7 as the main car will probably increase interest in the lancer and hopefully this will get the aftermarket more interested in the car

but also the fact that the 04 lancer has a bigger engine also will screw some of us if the lower models dont have the same 2.0 4g94 engine. hopefully the es and ls will have same and the oz will have the 2.4 or they all stay same and ralliart version be the 2.4

Question: why does ria auto salon even bother to offer RRM products? They are selling them at a significant markup. People could just do a google search for rrm, go to their website and save themselves some time and money on their purchase.
