all depends on sales in the future. and i was told by a friend at MMNA that they are toying with the old 3.0 for the high end lancer, being since it will be built on the larger new GS platform. possibly from another market car

Wow that's nice, i doubt that's what the new lancer would look like though. the production version of it will probably look alot cheaper unless they raise the cost.

Sorry everyone... That is NOT the '07 Lancer (not for JDM or USDM). What you're looking at is most likely the '06 update of the Taiwan made (built by China Motors Corp.) Lancer/Virage models.

spoke to my buddy at MMNA and that still could be the new lancer because it is built on the new GS platform. and expect the cost to go up

he said mitsu is always looking at other market cars to update current ones. we would never know. for instance lancer did not come here untill they redesighned the whole car. other wise you would be driving the the updated mirage, being since the mirage is called lancer every where else but here. my source is good but it is still up in the air what they are going to do but this is a possibilty.

it looks really luxurious, the pair of rectangular exhausts remind me of TL, the sporty front buckets still remain the luxurious tan color, the shape of the front is kinda like an audi, big and round. And most importantly, IT HAS PROJECTOR HEADLIGHTS!

Interior looks like its going to be the same. Front end looks okay, very Lancer-like but the rear end received a big redesign. I dont know if Im digging the dual exhaust being in the bumper, making it difficult for aftermarket mufflers to fit on the stock bumper without matching the stock muffler shape. I like the front end though, just change the grill and black out the headlights and it would look pretty nice.
