Carbon fiber exhaust shield for Oz lip?

hey guys, sorry if this is a repost but I just searched for about 45min and didn't find anything.

I was wondering if anyone knows of a company that makes a carbon fiber exhaust shield for a rear oz lip. I know there are several companies that make this for the evo so that the exhaust tip doesnt melt the rear bumper if its too close.

And I read that the evo one wont fit the regular lancer bumper.

A long time back there was someone on the boards gauging interest in making these specifically for the Es and the Oz bumpers but that fell through (I couldnt find that thread either).

Does anybody know of a company that offers this to the Oz and ES/LS guys. Im just getting ready to paint and install my rear Oz bumper and lip and I really dont want it to get melted if my exhaust is too close. Plus I think on a black car the carbon guard would look really nice.

Any fabricators up to the challenge?

There is also one on www.japanparts.com. Go to Mitsubishi-->Lancer Evo 7-->Aero/Body Parts. It is in the HKS Section called Carbon Bumper Heat Insulator. Its $86 American Funds. It looks like it would fit ours since it is only a stick and bolt flexible CF piece. Plus its JDM.

i got my heatshield from lancershop.com and it was for the lancer. I had to bend it myself b/c it was just a flat sheet of metal, and they gave me these screws to go with it and those screws ate through my bumper. Then the heatshield fell off somewhere. I then decided to get a sheet of metal and high heat paint and make my own. Right now this is probably the best non-carbon fiber option, as for carbon fiber its probably a bit costly.

Someone please make this part. As I told Kareem, I would gladly pay for it. Hell, even if it wasn't CF, I'd take a fiberglass one. Just make me an exhaust shield!

I sent Rob @ RRM an email asking about it. We'll see what he says. Maybe he'll see this thread...
