I don't know much about this stuff. I am looking at an evo 8 spoiler that is made out of ABS Virgin plastic resin, is that better than a FG spoiler.

The original EVO8 spoiler was CF middle and ABS sides. Fiberglass for the most parts is crap. It cracks on the tight bends on the spoiler because you cant blow enough glass into the small areas. Go with ABS. I dont know what "virgin" ABS is but I am sure it is the same as something like your bumper. Virgin is probably just a marketing ploy.

original evo8 spoiler is all CF, some of the guys strip the sides to show the bare CF.

 

Better ask an evo guy but I thought the full CF spoiler was a later upgrade.

Regardless ABS is is better than fiberglass and in some cases it is better than CF. Lots of cheap unfinished edge or bubbly finish CF. At least painted ABS is uniform.

 

Thanks for the info, i have a FG evo 7 spoiler, but I hate the side caps were the peices bolt together. I assumes ABS was better cause they don't have those side caps. I got the spoielr free with my car, so I don't care about not using it.
