D@mn man...someone mad and kick open the door??? My wife almost did that one time in a wind storm. Cracked the door and...whammm, the door flew open with a loud pop noise. Freaked me out...had to ran around the car to check out any damage. Nothing...thank God. Good luck though.
hey, i think in the evo general forum at the header "sticky" there is a thread that list all part numbers for oem parts. I'd try to look there first and see if you can find the part in the list. Good luck with that
Ouch.. hopefully no damage was done to the door where it hit the curb. That part looks pretty small that broke. It just cheap plastic so it shouldn't cost too much. But then again... stupid stealerships. Thats probably where you are going to have to get it. Unless mitsubishiparts.net could get it cheaper.. might want to send them an email.

Similar event happened to my frined with his POS eclipse. he was driving down the highway and his muffler rusted off so he turned back around to get it. He opened the door and left it open ,went to get the muffler and then a semi went by and Woosh CRACK! the door hinge broke and wrinkled up the door.
The hinge stop is ment to stop the door from opening all the way and to regulate door positioning, it is not mented to wack a road curb ! so the quality is no cheaper or better than a Honda or a Toyota.

Now we know why these cars are so cheap when we buy them.
