Question K & N Filter

Hi all,
I've recently purchased a K & N filter for my car. I could fit the filter into the air box, but for some odd reason, couldn't lock the air box itself. Perhaps i may have purchased the wrong filter for my car, but i went to the K & N website, and they said the one i've purchased is correct. i would like to find out if our 2002-2003 Lancers uses this K & N filter?

K&N Filter - Part#: 33-2105

Thanks a lot,
Don

Try rotating it...it looks square but really isn't from what I hear (don't have one yet.)

Yeah you just gotta squeeze it, make sure all of the rubber is in the box then just push hard and clamp it, thats what I did when I had a drop in.

Try turning it around, that might help. I found replacing the air filter to be refreshingly easy.

jiggle the box.. I think it gets misaligned easy or atleast mine did

just move and shake the box around til it lines up
If that dont work just OGRE it (like shrek)

yeah bud, it has trouble fitting some times. It just usually needs a little wiggle to fit just right. I don't know the exact part number of mine though
