It is going to be quite a big jump.....I can't even think about what it's going to be like....I have no frame of reference. The fastest car I've driven is probably my dad's old infinity. I'm gonna have to ease into the Evo.

What kinda Saturn are you ridin in?

Hooby,

I think they have a name for what you're doing to yourself. It's called Chinese torture. ; ) (or maybe Japanese)

Ok, has anyone thought about getting a bunch of us together to get like a two day driver's course at a group rate from one of these racing schools? I mean, those courses are expensive (so a group rate would help), and if we're going to be getting these fast cars we should at least try to get a better hold of concepts like threshold braking, heel/toeing, double clutching, etc. Would this interest anyone? I realize we live all over the country, but I think this could be pretty cool if we organized it. Any thoughts?

Still got a couple yaers yet fella's, dont get too excited. Maybe if we are lucky Ralliart will open up an advanced driver training school, like they have in Germany.

Ya...I am kinda torturing myself, but it sets a goal, and it keeps me on track...

If I slack off....I won't have enough $$$ for it when it comes out and that would suck even more than what I'm doing to myself right now.

As far as the racing school thing goes....I would LOVE to do something like that. I've been wanting to for awhile. I'm a pretty good driver in my Saturn, but that doesn't mean JACK for the Evo. I don't know how easy it would be for me to come down to Arizona, but if I can, I will

From: houston tx,
I think I'm a little better off than you in the fastest car yet driven arena. The fastest car I've driven is my best friend's 94 corvette. That thing hauls *****! There is going to be a serious learning curve when I get the evo though.

I've got a 92 saturn coupe, red and silver, with a k&n intake and an HKS hiper exhaust with custom bent 2.25 inch piping from the cat back. Its loud (my friends say it sounds like a rally car, but I think they are just humoring me), and fun to drive, but its a saturn. Its sort of funny when I drive by and people go . They don't know what to make of me. I've been absolutely tied in knots with anticipation for the evo for like, the last 6 years, so another year or two shouldn't be too bad. I've gotten used to it. Lets see, I just turned 19 today, so maybe I'll be able to buy myself an Evo for my 21st B'day and break it in by driving to vegas!

actually, if you look at that pic that you posted, I have a saturn like the one on the left side, only the trim around the bottom is silver instead of red. ( I know you probably know what they look like. I was giving a point of reference to our international board members who might not know quite what a saturn looks like)

Cant wait until I get my RHD EVO 7! I am waiting for my loan to get approved which will take a few days. Since I am currently in Malaysia working it will be difficult for me to get a fast approval since I am a expatriate. I ordered a Silver GSR. Sad that my girl friend doesnt like the front seats but too bad nothing gonna stop me from getting it The cost is US$ 65k with insurance and road tax for 1 year. And some of you are already complaining its gonna be over 30k in the states?

Where'd you get that picture? I like the racing harts on there. What size are they? 18"?

I don't know what you're complaining about. Being 19 and waiting for an Evo? Try tacking on 11 years to that. Then you'll know how I feel. You guys get looks when your Saturn drives by, imagine the looks I get when people get passed by a Camry. I remember this guy in a new Maxima (must've been an automatic). He couldn't figure out why he couldn't catch up to me ; )
