HOLE in my intake manifold!!!

So I'm looking over my engine today making sure everything's connected, tight, the usual and I hear sort of a leaking sound. I start checking my vacuum lines going into my intake manifold and still I hear this leaking sound. I start putting my ear closer to try and find this sound. Low and behold I find this tiny hole in my intake manifold. It's toward the passenger side and on the top. I couldn't believe it. That just shows the quality you get when you have casted manifolds. Check the pic out. I know it's small, but you can hear the difference when you put your finger over the hole and when the hole is exposed. Un-bee-lee-va-bull...

This is a ported out 4G94 manifold. I'm not too interested in dropping any more money on this engine. My 4G69 should be here in about 2 weeks. So I'll have plenty of parts to sell of this one. I may just sell the engine as a whole instead of parting it out. For now I'll just put a quick tack weld on there and smooth it down. I just wanted to show everyone the quality of a casted manifold.

Wow. I guess JB Weld is the next generation rigging solution. I'm shocked nobody said duct tape yet!!

A dime and some crazy glue?

That's amazing...seriously. You must have been running a lot of NAWZ to blow the welds on your intake manifold like that. Did your floorpan fall out? That's a dead-on sign something like this is about to happen.

Couldn't resist.

So...I don't owe you a 10 second car or anything do I?

Are you doing the 4g69 swap at home, or do you have a shop available?

At home. I'm looking forward to it. I don't want to get too excited. The yard I'm getting the motor from claimed they were "sourcing" it. I kinda get the feeling I might see my money back before I see a motor. ***fingers crossed***
