Upset with the services of RRM and Accolade

I m upset and wanted to vent this out. I am deaf myself and cannot use the phone. I usually use relay services to call out to my favorite company (RRM).

I somehow came up with $1,000 to spend on bodykit. I had hard time deciding and not even one person on this forum helped me out after I gave many inputs to these forums for over 2 years. Then I decide to email Accolade about pricing on the new Apex 3 bodykit. They quoted me $550 which isnt bad. Then I email back about my concern on the fitment, they emailed back suggesting me to get the kenstyle kit. I told them that I wanted the Apex 3 and then they email back saying they dont even sell this kit (they just quoted me $550 then they say they dont sell that! WTF!!).

Then I turn to a supposedly reliable and favorite company, RRM. I call them through relay services and they give me one of the most crappiest customer service I have ever experienced. They replied back with "yes" and "no" and "i dont know" questions while i expected them to assist me in picking a good choice of body kits and pricing. They were so horrible that I hung up and now I have nowhere else to turn into. I m one of rare deaf person who is into the tuning world of imports. And this crap is blocking me from being able to perk up with you guys.

Dude sorry to hear this and even sorrier to hear how a couple top vendors from this site have sucky customer service. I don't have a Body Kit so I am not to much help. I do know however on Accolade's site they don't have a Apex 3 listed only I and II. Is there a reason why you are so stuck on this one kit? Not downin ya just wondering. Hope all works out. Keep us posted. I was recently lookin at getting the RRM Piggy back... soo I'll wait to hear how this turns out. LOL Maybe I will just wait and get the RIPP SDS down the road and deal with what I got for now.

even when i met with Rob Tallini last summer. I communicated through paper and pen. He seemed like a cool guy and he offered a 30% discount on all products. then lately when i want to purchase something, RRM keeps on saying NO about the 30% discount. its pissing me off.

Go figgur. I hate to say **** has to happen to someone, and it was you this time...but that seems to be what happened. I'll leave ABK out of the picture because I've never delt with them personally, but complaints about RRM come maybe once a year in my experience. This is MAYBE the 4th or 5th I've EVER heard. I'm not saying the service wasn't good for you or waht you expected, and I don't mean to minimize your complaint, but I wouldn't take the one experience as indicative of all their service. Something tells me they just had internal confusion and should have gotten a clear answer before responding to you, but that's just speculation. Hope things turn around for you.

As for help on these forums...you're more likely to get it in tech forums than show related forums. When it becomes an issue of taste it usually degrades quickly if there's a response.

i agree. i dont intend to make RRM look bad. I love their company. its just that they need to realize how they have been treating me. Theres always a second chance for me to try them again.

I don't think any one person COULD make them look bad with the following they've achieved. I hope everything works out.

With how far they've come along... they're at a point where they can make fun of our moms and we'd still be buying turbos from them.

No kidding hobie. Streetsleeper, what kind of service do you use to communicate over the phone? I mean, is there any way that they could've just misunderstood you or something?

well, first of all each one of the persons on these forums have givin their input in many past threads, maybe they were just tired that newbies keep posting the same questions without even SEARCHING!!!! once. and second you gave "many" inputs on these forums for over 2 years??? it sez you joined in August 2004. i didnt know members had to reply solely because you put in so many "inputs"

the bottom line is you didnt research. you just wanted people to hand you an answer. ill make it easy. you got 1000 bucks. accolade and RRM arent the only companies that sell body kits for our car. import trenz has em, ATF Performance has them, even ebay has them. as for fitment- search it.

In dealing with RRM I think your experience also depends on who answers the phone. I've called them several times and the all but the last time were great. They were very helpful and willing to troubleshoot piggyback problems with me. However, this last time I called a couple of Saturdays ago and the guy who answered the phone had no clue and wasn't very nice at all. Granted that pissed me off since they (actually HE) didn't help at all, but I still like RRM. About bodykits, do lots of research and choose what you like best. Good luck to ya.

yeah, i agreecompletely with you. it sucks to be in my shoes right now being left in dark while those good reputation companies need to do something about their services. maybe it was a specific person. they need to evaluate themselves and improvise...
