I agree. Car looks pretty good, but if you wanna sell some of yer show mods, might as well be those, everything else looks decent. I'm not saying a stock lancer with turbo is bad, just that I think yer car would be pretty sick the way it looks with a turbo.

I'm not sure, but if you go turbo, you wouldn't need yer CAI anymore right? so I guess you could sell that as well too. I'm not sure though, me = engine newb....lol

exactly. the money you'd get from you show mods isn't worth getting rid of them, it just isn't enough to justify it. plus your car looks hella hot, dont' ruin it

just start saving, get another job, and stash away 4g's for a good FI kit

tell ya what, if you can wait 3-4 weeks, you can decide for yourself whether you think ripp sds stgII isnt' fast enough. your always going to want something faster until you break the speed of light barrier, but you have to learn to love what you got

let me refer to chi-town's finest...hehe.
I was in a meet a lil while back and they had omarboy's ride and elpedro's ride. If you've been on evom, you should be familiar with these two. We were repping Midwest Lancer Club at the meet and everyone was around elpedro's ride. Body kit, wing, CF hood, Ralliart stickers up-the-butt....it was what it was a show car. He actually he got some good GO mods too but for the sake of this thread, it was a really nice show car. Now Omar's OZ was just getting passed by people not even given a glance. But the driver of the Corvette on the way home got a run for his money, hehe .

Now why not have both Melaz?

I'd rather have some punk kid with a muscle car or a fast import car to look down on me because I got all this show but he thinks I'm just rice and blow past me. Then later I'll smoke his **** for thinking any of the above. Plus when you have a sleeper, hardly any of the time you get challenged. They think your just stock, that's why you gotta do the instigating most of the time. Heck, GTIs, SpecVs, WRXs, and most of all muscle cars just laugh and blow past me now. Wouldn't it be more satisfying that your 'fast-looking' car can actually beat those SOBs?

i can vouch for that sleeper thing. if your car is stock'ish looking, nobody pays attention to you, even if your laying down 500whp

its kinda sad, cause sometimes, i want to play (back when i was more stockish) and nobody would give me the time of day

Lancers and evo's are not exactly "sleeper" looking cars in the first place-- 2 fast 2 gay made sure of that...

Im gonna have about 2grand at the end of the summer. So, I may just drop it on a flywheel, stage 2 clutch, ss clutch line, a fwd lsd and then next spring get a ported intake manifold, throttle body and header. Then, Summer 06 put 4gs on the good ol mastercard. How's that sound?

btw, Does RRM do special package deals or no? cause if they did, that would be sweet.

-Lightened Flywheel
-FWD Limited slip (lsd)
-Stainless steel clutch line
PART 2
-Ported intake manifold
-Ported throttle body
-RRM header
-Magnaflow highflow cat

-RRM motot mounts
PART 3
-RRM stage 2 Intercooled turbo.

only suggestion i have, and i hate to say this, but since your tight on dough, consider non-RRM vendors to buy stuff from.

for example, clutch, lsd and flywheel can all be bought elsewhere for cheaper

get a ported 4g93 manifold for cheaper than rrm, and it yields better gains.

get your motor mounts direct from deyeme (rrm just resells deyeme after markup). i think its like 100 bucks cheaper direct

just something to think about, ya know

I agree with greenpsycho I am going the custom route for my turbo and projected cost is appx 1400 and maybe cheaper. The 93 mani is also ALOT cheaper I picked one up ported and all from the mirage forum for 50 shipped and it makes a huge difference NA so imagine FI... Do some research and you will find parts alot cheaper than RRM. +1

Part 1 is something I would do after you went FI - that's when you need the traction, not before.
So I would do it in this order:
Part 2
Part 3
Part 1

junkyards for the most part. i got mine from engineerboy, he ported it too, for really cheap, so i'd contact him

i think i agree with z, cause after you get your turbo, you'll want a better clutch for sure, not much sense getting it ahead of time, ya know?
