im in hong kong right now and today i went to a street where at least 10 car accessories stores are located. I wanted to buy a spoiler and those "rain block" thingie (dark transparent plastic shield on top of each side windows). But then those stores didn't have any rain block for 04 lancers yet, they only had those for 02-03, for $200 HKD per set of 4(around $25 USD). I also saw those plastic thingie that goes on top of the rear window (is it called rear window spoiler??) but they didnt have any for 04 lancers either, i asked if the 02-03 one would fit and they didn't know...... it was like $400 HKD ($50 USD). So i bought a pair of carbon fiber windshield wipers dress up thingie, it was like $10 USD, and i bought a non-slip soft plastic pad that goes on top of the dash so i can put my cell phone and coins on it without worrying about them falling when im accelerating. Lastly, i bought an aluminum heel guard for $150HKD ($20 USD). Im so happy cuz most of the stuffs are so much cheaper than US! i'll post pics as soon as my dad gives me back my camera

ok, for the window things, yes they will fit. all lancers ( 2002 +, including evo ) would fit correctly. even the rear window spoiler aswell.

I have buddy that went to school with me and is from Hong Kong. He says it is not hard to find car parts, but finding genuine parts is really difficult. He said that there are so many fakes of everything from clothes to car parts that it is insane.

thanks! teamaccolade, are u 200% sure that the wind deflector thingie designed for 02-03 lancers are gonna fit 04 lancers? i'll be waiting for ur confirm and go buy them asap! but i might not buy the rear window spoiler because it looks weird in a way. I wish i could get body kits, but how am i gonna carry it back to US.......

oh and does anybody know if there are differences between hong kong (right hand side steering) lancer bodies and the US ones? like will there be a slight difference that causes the wind deflectors to not fit perfectly? because those deflectors that i can buy here are designed for hong kong cars

yes, our cars were made there aswell. the will fit fine. if u get headlights they will be setup for a RHD car, but are adjustable.

 

hmmmm.....I saw those cf windshield wiper thingies on ebay, and I was just wondering where they go exactly?

 

they go on the metal stick part of the wipers, the parts where u do not change when changing the wipers. They act as a spoiler on the wiper, adding more force on to the wiper while driving so the wipers could wipe better (thats what the description in da back of the package said). But i think they are mainly there for decoration.


sorry this is the best pic i could find. u can see the washers (black dots) and those in the middle are the wipers. This guy probably bought the LED light up ones, thats why they're glowing blue.
