it'll take it no problem. even the economy Toyo tires on my mom's Grand Caravan is rated 44 PSI max. (I think it's about 60 profile)

 

Low profile tires usually carry the same psi for models that match or meet yours. Keep the post up and find the middle point for the psi pressure. I don't have them yet myself but my guess would be at about 45 psi driving. Racing, is a matter out of my hands but low-pros need the grip while you're driving.

That guy that said something about taking it around turns... He has something there. You need to observe the grip of the tires when you're taking turns at about 25-30 mph. You'll feel and hear the tires roll if its too low, and you'll feel the slip before you hear the squeel if they're too inflated. Good luck, and don't wear your tires out... :P

 

I just put 35 in all my tires to be safe it felt much smoother then 30.

 

I don't know how having 45-50 would cause a blow out any easier than 35, but I am warning you that anything less than 40 in a 35 series tire is asking for a BENT RIM. You see, the low tire pressure allows the tires to give way in an impact (pothole, etc) so much that the rim then hits the pothole, and that really defeats the purpose of rubber tires, which is to cushion the rim and the ride. imo much worse to bend your $250+ rim than a possible blowout.

 

I had Yokohama AVS ES 100 205/50/16 summer tires (great tire, wears quick though and NOT all-season) on my Focus and I ran them around 37 psi all around. I agree with others, somewhere between the pressure on your door sticker and the tires max psi is a good mix.

The max inflation pressure is there, it can be a pain to find, especially on low profile tires. But it's required by law to be somewhere on the tire. 44 is usually the max on low profiles, but every tire is different.

IMO I would put 40 in it. I consistently ran 40 in my 45 series when I had them, just to make sure I didn't bottom out and bend the rim. But they had a max of 51, so you should be fine with 40. And yes, all tires have a max of at least 44 as far as I know. Ask Neal to be sure, but I was told that all street tires had to withstand at least 44 cold.
