If you are going to pay for a new hood, might as well get one w/ different styling and some what functionality.

OEM style...might as well paint your hood black! (not really, but you get the idea)

Yes, there are threads where quite a few people have done it before. You would have to do a quick search to confirm to make sure it is the correct one you are talking about though. I think one needed slight modification, but they do come off.

I bought a OEM carbon fiber hood from Melaz425 and it looks great. Don't let others make the choice for you buy the one that you like best. The real great thing about this mod is that it saves something like 20 some odd pounds off the front end. Better than going on a diet, although I need to.

when I wasn't FI I was thinking about getting the OEM carbon fiber hood but when I switched over I saw how much head I was generating and I wanted some vents. So my opinion is if you need the functionality of the vents do it. If you have no need for them well then it is a preference call.

Vis hoods yellow to easy from the sun.

You should go with the C-Wings OEM hood from www.ceriousperformance.com That is where I got mine and it's awesome. I got the sides painted to match my car. Check out my registry for pics.

yeah, tyler had a c-wings cerious performance hood (same with cass's hood, one oem, one vented)

i've seen both kinds from cerious and the vis vented hood and i like the cerious one the best. fitment and quality is just better

however, for weight savings, i have to disagree. i believe the weight difference between stock and cf hood is like 5-10 pounds at the most. get a cf hood for looks, get it for the vents and heat displacement, but if you want to save some weight, grab a mini battery or empty your window washing fluid
