Forget about the fingerprints, cops won't take any fingerprints unless someone was died or injury in the car or there were a gun shot, they only take fingerprints in those cases.

 

it might depend on the area and how bored the cops are. When my dad's boat was stolen and used to rob larger boats then returned to a nearby marina, the cops fingerprinted every inch of the thing. They apparently stole a few credit cards and TVs from other boats, and took our ski rope. No deaths or anything.
