paint prices ?
Sorry if this is a re-post, I searched and couldn't find what I was looking for.
I'm just wondering what the prices for the A02 (Thunder Grey) color would be, for enough paint to paint a body kit (I'm thinking 1 gallon should be enough). Also where can one purchase the paint ?

1 gal is plenty.. but you need paint, paint reducer, clearcoat, clearcoat reducer, primer, and all the sandpaper and airgun spray tools to do it right. If you just get paint only, and spray it on, the color will probably be off, especially on a lancer since it has a bad paintjob to begin with. You might get lucky though, so in that case, go to www.paintscratch.com and look at the 1gal buckets of paint and clearcoat they sell. If not, go to a local painters shop and see how much they want for a gal of that color paint, then just find someone experienced to paint it for you, or do it yourself if you are up to it. Make sure the body kit is perfect though before you paint. Sand it down, smooth it out, fill in cracks or pits, etc..
1 quart (32oz) of each was just BARELY enough though to paint my Talon's body kit.. luckily the guy had extra of the same red color to lay down underneath as a basecoat though.

oh, ouch, 1 gal of paint+clearcoat+primer would run me about $500. That's all I'd need, my uncle has a compressor and an automotive airgun, and all the sandpaper I'd need. I wonder if getting just 32oz would be enough, since that'll only be $200 for paint/clearcoat/primer. Any other stores which sell car paint ?
you dont need a gallon you could easilly do it with a quart. Because when you add the reducer you will get more than enough. 1 gallon is enough for an entire car. Also look at useing a polyureathane paint and you wont need a clearcoat. Try maybe a Dupont 7500 or 8000 poly and you should be fine but it still costs 100 a quart and about 40 or 50 for the reducer. I would also suggest using an HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) gun to shoot it.
