need help, any suggestions?

Ok, i've been a long time lurker and not really much on the posting but lately i've had some issues. i have a 03 oz rally edition with an AEM intake and some stereo mods done too it. I've been trying to debate on wether i should continue onto working on the motor and leave the body stock until the motor is complete { the full works } or...should I start working on the body and trying to clean it up a bit. If i go the body route i'd like to have the car painted a more wilder color. Also, my car hasn't had the greatest luck, just recently it was vandalized, someone put around 9 decent dents along the drivers side from front to back, smacked in both turn signals on the fenders and wacked my window and busted it...so while alot would say go for motor and leave body, me working on the body would serve a purpose...but then again...a kinda beat up looking lancer whoopin' some *** as the turbo spools up would be pretty neat....oh...by the way, the window has since been replaced, so it's not that bad..lol..so what do you guys think....

motor work first and body second...or body first and motor second?

Go with the motor first, and then see how much your car gets vandalized(thats if it does agian), then choose if its worth it and if you want to keep the body stock or pimp it out.

Yeah, magically come up with $30,000+. Worst suggestion ever. Usually it's one of the arrogant Evo guys who say stuff like that. It seems the disease is spreading.

How much money do you have to work with here?

well really, i'm on a paycheck to paycheck budget, i haven't really saved up a whole lot so i figured i'd piece things together..as for the evo remark..sure, that sounds fine and dandy, save 30k, buy an evo, invest even more money into it and then get full coverage insurance on a 21 year old, right? you paying for that debt? not me...

Well, if you want to go with the outside first (paint job); you'll need a good # of paychecks before that point (assuming you have the usual bills that every 21 year old would have).

Sounds beat, why mod an ugly car? Start with the body, then move onto the motor.

doing the paint job won't be as much as most believe, i work at a dealership in the bodyshop area and can get it done next to nothing..i've been contiplating and I think i'm going to go all body for right now and get it decent looking so that I don't have a heart attack everytime i look at my drivers side and see the damage from the wonderful vandalist of houston.
