Please I Need Help With Spoiler!

Hey guys, i got an 03 OZ and i wanna remove the center pillar. I've SEEN it on these forums (the how to) but i can't find it! i searched for "spoiler, center", " spoiller pillar"., can't find it.

Does anyone know how to remove it? I took off the spoiler completely and i've been trying to pull off the center piece but it seems like there are nails stuck on. When i look through the hole, there are three flower looking things that look like nails but i tried using plyers to turn them or pull them out and they don't work!

any help would be awesome! THANKS!

The center piece is riveted, so you just need to drill it out, then just pull it slowly (it will be tight because of the glue) and it come right off.

there isn't actually a solid answer on these boards, I know cause me and melaz searched a few months back when we did his

basically, we beat the hell out of it with our fists and it broke off. no clean way to do it. but the hole is in a place where you can't really see it unless your looking for it, so it comes out pretty nice

I'm assuming you mean the hole in the spoiler. What about the holes in the trunk lid? You've got to get those filled and repainted now.

Yup, the good ol' rubber grommet. Got mine at an ag / hardware store for like 19 cents.

Any pics? Are they like flat on one side so they are almost flush with the trunk lid?

Ah, it protrudes about 1/8th of an inch. Sorry, I don't have pics that are centered on just the grommet. It pretty much plugs into place.

Before water used to leak in whenever it rained... wasn't much... but the thought of rust had crossed my mind and thats when I used blue painters tape for about a week until I went and got the grommet.

lol, z lancer man, if you don't plan to ever use the middle piece, just saw it in half. first unscrew all the screws, and take off the spoiler completely (there'll be a wire connected in the trunk that you have to unhook for break light). anyways, get it off, saw half of the middle piece and use pliers are tear off the screws (gently). piece should then only be stuck by the double sided tape so just blowdry and slowly remove.

when you've taken it off, you'll notice two huge holes underneath the spoiler and the obvious hole in the center of the trunk. what i did was i put a sticker that matched the colour of my car over the two holes on the spoiler (not noticeable at all unless you bend down and try and look for it). for the whole in the center, what i did was i ripped off a piece of the middle piece, and super glued it under neat the trunk where the screw was supposed to go. it looks really good without anything else (only it's not flush). you can keep it that way or do what i did.

I super glued the piece under the trunk (watch out cause you don't wanna drop the piece in the trunk.. i have 2 pieces somewhere in there). after you let the super/crazy glue settle, put some silicon on the top of the trunk (make sure not to spill ANYWHERE), and place around the hole (in the inside) just to make sure water will not get through. it'll be kinda puddy like for a while. let it settle. then i put some apexi (you can use any body filler), and just put it on top of it all and used a card and swiped it so it was flush with the hole. then i let it settle for a day and then painted the whole with touch up paint and i'm DEBATING if i should clear coat but some shop told me not to bother.

^ just in case anyone searches. this is waht i did.

akasirlancelot, sorry but i couldn't find a direct answer? did you? anyways, here is my solution in case anyone else wants to have an idea what to do.
