Why'd you put the stock header back on? I'm hoping with my current mods it'll be pretty decent since I got all the intake side mods (short of porting the head) and exhaust side mods designed for good torque and decent top end (just a RRM header right now, eventually an exhaust system when I got the cash).

^^^Thats my basic set up right now, only thing I need is an exhaust system and a custom tune.

When I have the cash and find a dyno in town I'll do a few runs. N1te, are you sure my current set up is unsafe, it doesn't seem like I'm done anything to change the dynamics of the engine (apart from the pistons), I'm just letting more air in and out.

I'm not gonna be that optimistic, I rather be pleasantly surprised when I get the results.

no, i'm not saying your setup is dangerous at all. with how rich the stock ecu runs you're fine. i'm just saying how bad i want to see you tune it because your engine is just choking on too much gas i'd love to see what an n/a lancer can really do and i really respect you for doing so much to do so.

I boughty it for the high compression pistons. Nobody was 100% about the AF ratio so to be safe I got myself FPR. It give a better throttle response at low rpm.

ambystom01 I have never heard of you doing anything to your car. Did you ever post anything? I'm just curious.

Also what pistons do you have? 10.5:1 or 10.1?
Pictures? Come on, curiousity.........

Good luck with tuning too.

Also N1te, with the pistons I have recommended AFR is about 13.0 or maybe a little bit higher as long as there is no knock.

I'm glad somebody else added to the dyno list.

There is only one thing I'm a little skeptical about which Boe was raving in the dyno list thread.

If you have no exhaust work done then you torque numbers are going to be high. It cannot be directly attributed to the pistons.

So far with my open exhaust I have noticed a drop in torque but that is in an untuned state now with the cam. And your A/F ratio is way better than the 11:1 I was experiencing.

What gear did you pull in greg?
