I am pissed...

I am so pissed right now...I washed my car today, and I found alot of my paint chipping. There is a spot by the back passanger door that has chipped and now is rusting!
Mistusbishi said that its not covered..its due to rock and crap...so now what do i do?

Isn't rust covered in the warranty though? A few of our club members were discussing this about rock chips. It seems that if it's just chipped you can't do anything, but as soon as rust shows up, you can try to claim it under the warranty.
<scurries off for some saltwater>

But yeah, I don't think it'll work since has nothing to do with the rocks actually hitting and chipping your car.

I guess I will call them on monday and find out again. But what sucks is I just put on my Greddy, so my warranty is void. I will have to put my stock crap on just to go to the dealer. Arrggg

An after market exhaust doesn't void your entire warranty.

Yep. That exhaust has nothing to do with the warranty. Do a search on warranties, cuz it'll give you plenty of info when the dealership starts telling you about your "voided" warranty.

From the warranty manual (2002)

2002 Mitsubishi Anti Corrosion Warranty / Page 8
2002 Mitsubishi Anti Corrosion Warranty / Page 9

Surface rust isn't covered. There has to be an actual hole or "rust-through" for warranty coverage to apply.

is it on your OZ skirts??it happened to mine too , actually to a lot of OZ owners...something about thin paint on the OZ body kit.just go back to the dealership and be friendly with them and they will fix...they said they will do mine but they said that they would have to keep the car for about 3-5 days.mine chipped just below my drivers door on the skirt...also what i did was printout pages from the diff threads about the subject so they didn't think i made it up(check the forums...theres a couple threads)once they saw the printouts they couldn't try to blame me

if it's on the OZ body kit take it to the dealship(try to talk directly to the main manager)the dealership here where i live said that Mitsu knows of the prob but it isn't that big to worry about(thry only told me about this after i called them on it not just being one person but many as thry saw with my printouts)just walk past the dealers and service people and go right to the top dog
