Adios Amigos! McBrown35 signing out...
Time to go buy a Subaru! They are a hell of alot faster than our Lancer's, and the Impreza 2.5i is also $1k cheaper than a loaded Lancer OZ, has abs and awd and 4 wheel disc brakes, and will even smoke a Ralliart! For real man, thats my next car, I almost wish someone would total my ride since my gap insurance would bite the negative equity.
Anyway, sorry for your loss man, and thank God you're not hurt.

I love to see after an accident thread, "sorry to hear man...how much for so and so"
but for reals, sorry for the loss man. Glad you were okay and your daughter. I really loved your set up of your car. One of the nicest Lancers on the forums seriously. Really well done. Accidents like any other is an advancement to the next project
~! Good luck and keep us posted on updates.

Love the car, sorry for loss. So many drivers out there are complete morons. I've escaped many near accidents, too many to count. The most notable...heading down I43 southbound to my gfs, a car decides to slam on its brakes while going 75mph to do an illegal U-Turn on the highway where the cops usually sit, DOESNT even look in the other lane for oncomming cars and guns it.. right around rush hour. I know that guy did some damage to some people in the northbound lane, because I heard brakes screaming as I drove away. I had to dip into the shoulder not to cream him only to find him right in front of my car, barely missing him as he gunned it.
Off the hiway 5miles up or so I saw a sheriff and ambulance going in that direction on the on-ramp.

Glad everyone's ok, but you're also lucky you hit her. Insurance tends not to like "I swerved to avoid X and so I hit Y" stories. Haven't heard from you in a while, but I hope you'll still stop by from time to time.

Thanks for all the nice messages guys! As some knew, I had some issues with my RRM turbo kit for some time. After replacing BOV, fuel pump, injectors, seals, O2 sensors, fuel relays, FMU's, plugs, and who knows what else... I was getting so damn sick of the car I had stopped caring about it... So... back to my first love... I will be getting a Honda RC51 or CBR954RR... haven't decided yet, but leaning towards the Twin. I will be receiving between $7-10K for the car depending if it is totalled or not. Should know by the weekend...

i think its only if your car is not paid off. cause my manager had a lancer and it wasnt paid off, and he had exhaust and strut bar and stuff and 18" hot wheels rims, but he flipped it and the insurance company claimed it and the junk yard wouldnt even let him in to take parts off of it. he was just allowed to take his personal belongings out. At least I think thats how it goes. but if you owned the car completely you can still remove all the parts you want.

Car was 100% paid... had about 87,xxx miles... depends how much the buyback is... it's not worth it the hassle of haggling with people and shipping a bunch of used parts if they give me $3,000.00 (plus $7,000 for damages) I will be happy to wash my hands of the deal...
I had to fax my lien release today so they can cut the check directly to me...
