RRM Expierence

wow is what comes to my mind from my expierence today. after reading the reviews and pleasant answers about the new RRM Pulley for our lancers I decided to purchase one. I called first thing this morning and talked to a guy whom I wish I had asked for a name but had spoken to him about the pulley and it's availability. To my supprise they had some in stock so I ordered one..less then 10 minutes and very easy to work with..i was totally stoked about it because normally i hate purchasing things from places because they're such *******s but the guys there were nice..we spoke about my problem with my AEM intake about the gash I got inside my piping and then hung up..first thing i said after hanging up was wow and i had a smile on my face...i then decided to call them right back up and order the CAI from them as well and they happily added it to my order...THANKS RRM! I think i found my home for parts ;D

i've had nothing but good experiences with RRM. Some of their parts are very well priced, and others are very inflated, but this is the price you pay for excelent customer service.

Two thumbs up for RRM.

Interesting but my experience dealing with them has been mediocre at best. Maybe I just ask crappy questions, but a lot of the time I get half-a$$ed answers if any. Couple of examples:

"Your headers are making the exhaust really loud. Is there anything I can do?"
"No you have to live with it. That is the price you pay for performance"
(I called Magnaflow and they hooked me up with a 2nd resonator.)

"I was thinking about getting a used RRM turbo kit. It's for an auto, will it fit in a manual?"
"Not sure. You probably have to purchase $400 worth of piping from the manual kit."
(Later found out that they do fit. Who cares now, I have SDS)

These probably sound like petty reasons for disliking a company, but I am **** about customer service and I make no excuses for that. Based on what evom people say, they're unbelievable. But my own experience talking to them has not been that great.

whats important to remember is that no company is absolutely perfect, some customers somewhere don't like them. Also, bad experiences with vendors are frowned up on these boards, so not alot are posted, on the flip side, the squeaky wheel gets the grease, meaning that rarely do posts like this occur where you praise a company (normall you only post if you have a problem).

I don't intend on sounding like a jerk but that's not a part that they have in stock. Although it would be nice, I wouldn't expect even RRM to have information on other manufacturers' parts such as a Magnaflow resonator. Magnaflow knew what you needed because they ofcourse carried that part. Now if RRM sold Magnaflow resonators and still said 'tough luck, deal with it', then that would be a different issue that you could be less than satisfied about.

Everybody has bad days when it comes to wanting to deal with customers. The person you spoke with may have been the only person there at the time and didn't have much experience with the different types of turbo kits. Could you have asked if there was anyone else there at the shop that had more knowledge of the kits? Yes. Would it have been an inconveniance? Again yes, but sometimes you just have to be persistant with the best of companies in order to get the information that you need.

OK, I think this is enough. There are good days and bad days. RRM is a good company. We don't need a huge "I had a good service!" "Well, they treated me like crap!" debate.

CLOSED. Thanks for watching!
