any paint that says it works on plastic, just make sure you scuff and clean it before painting or expect it to peel

you need so sand the chrome off so the paint will stick to it. if you just paint over the chrome the paint will flake and peel off. you may want to primer it first as well.

id use 400, it seems to be the same material as the headlights, so id follow those instructions, but id use clearcoat for protection. Im also looking into this, but i have a black car and i have krylon fusion paint, but not sure if it will match, which do people think is the closest or should i go with a flat black to match the fins?

my headlights are blacked out, with the black fusion like i said, but its hard to tell if they match through the plastic, and i dont really want gunmetal becuase nothing i have on my car is gunmetal,
so shiny black or flat black?

kott tot, you can go with any black paint, and get an acrylic clear coat to keep it a flat black. I did it on my grille and I even sprayed the black fins a little bit to blend it together better so I'd recommend doing that as well IMO. Make sure you sand it well, clean it, primer, paint, clear coat so it doesn't chip as easily. It will chip after time, mines starting to now, so you might have to repaint eventually.
