yeah, well my plot thickens, i went to pick up my car and they said they just found a lower control arm to be broken, they felt so bad for me that all they charged me for was the part and not labor

Cool Im a proud Ma$$hole

Alright... i got an 05 lancer ES, still stock cause just paying for the car / mass insurance rates drains you poor but im workin on it....

Anyways... you wanna talk about hard driving? alright lets go over it

1:I live in massachusetts, were ma$$holes and im the worst one.. i cut you off at 110
2:I do no less then 75 in a 55 and no less then 95 on the highway.
3: i drive from Shrewsbury through westborough through southborough to framingham.

4n Rt30.. a road i have chozen for its tight turns, steep and short elevation changes. and lack of police obviously

I have pretty much RAPED all 13,000 miles out of my car to this date... it runs like the day i bought it, and when you look under the hood.. you wouldnt know it didnt come fresh off the showroom floor... i think you just got a bad egg dude.. cause my lancer... i think the tires are made of solid awsome the engine is a block of raw sex and the body holds steady like the rock of jabralta (spelling)

like i said.. i think you got a bad egg

Strut Tower Brace
Lower Tie Bar
Rear Sway bar
CAI or RAM depends on how in debt at that point i am

hahaha this is making me feel a ton better about going up to 4000 rpm every once in a while.

yeah handmemyarms those seem to be unusual problems for a car as you describe. anyone else had problems like these?

Check the manufacturing date. My grandfather always says "Never buy a car that was built on a Friday or a Monday" Too bad nowadays the machines don't care about the weekends. But I still agree, it sounds like you got a bad egg. I was about to tell you that warped rotors are common when you do racing events, canyon runs, or anything with frequent hard braking, and that wheel bearings go out quickly on cars that do road races, canyons, or autocross. I was referencing this to your link to NASA, but if you don't do any of that yet... just wait until you do!!!

However, I autocrossed my Lancer HARD every month for almost 3 years straight, have done 6 full days of track time (NASA and Speedventures), and plenty of canyon driving since I live right by them. At 73,000 miles I have had no problems out of the ordinary except for my steering column coming loose.

Now, since the above did nothing more than make you even more depressed, let's find a solution for you.
What type of driving do you do, and does it include hard braking and cornering? Be honest.
What brand and model of rotors and pads are you on?
Do your wheel bearings only need to be repacked, or were they dead?

I'm not that hard on my car, but I do drive it a lot (3k+ miles a month) and sometimes on really nasty backroads. I usually go above 90 mph at least once a day, I've slid off the road into a ditch. The roads here in Pittsburgh and the rest of the Rust Belt I find myself in aren't the best.

30k miles in 7 months, plus all of the above and it still runs great. I've got a noise from the rear suspension now ( sounds like a bushing) but the car has done much better then I figured it would.

I think you got a bad one. Have you owned it since new or buy used?
