Anywho I decided to go "off-roading" last night and literally drove threw the park lmao I think I might of broke something but I wont no for sure until my mechanic looks at it. I never beat the hell out of my car for anything but last night I just couldnt resist going in the mud LMAO!! Oh my car is a stock ES and it did alright in the mud I wonder what how it would be if I had any suspension mods.............
hahaha this is making me feel a ton better about going up to 4000 rpm every once in a while.
yeah handmemyarms those seem to be unusual problems for a car as you describe. anyone else had problems like these?

and all those LMAO's .... laughing at me? cause that would make me sad... laughing cause its just funny.. that would be good... but its true... mass driving... serious business.. i drive into CT on the weekends... and at the border everyone slows down from 89 - 95 to about 75 and im just passing ppl like they are standing still... amazing i havnt gotten a single ticket....
Check the manufacturing date. My grandfather always says "Never buy a car that was built on a Friday or a Monday" Too bad nowadays the machines don't care about the weekends. But I still agree, it sounds like you got a bad egg. I was about to tell you that warped rotors are common when you do racing events, canyon runs, or anything with frequent hard braking, and that wheel bearings go out quickly on cars that do road races, canyons, or autocross. I was referencing this to your link to NASA, but if you don't do any of that yet... just wait until you do!!!
However, I autocrossed my Lancer HARD every month for almost 3 years straight, have done 6 full days of track time (NASA and Speedventures), and plenty of canyon driving since I live right by them. At 73,000 miles I have had no problems out of the ordinary except for my steering column coming loose.
Now, since the above did nothing more than make you even more depressed, let's find a solution for you.
What type of driving do you do, and does it include hard braking and cornering? Be honest.
What brand and model of rotors and pads are you on?
Do your wheel bearings only need to be repacked, or were they dead?

I'm not that hard on my car, but I do drive it a lot (3k+ miles a month) and sometimes on really nasty backroads. I usually go above 90 mph at least once a day, I've slid off the road into a ditch. The roads here in Pittsburgh and the rest of the Rust Belt I find myself in aren't the best.
30k miles in 7 months, plus all of the above and it still runs great. I've got a noise from the rear suspension now ( sounds like a bushing) but the car has done much better then I figured it would.
I think you got a bad one. Have you owned it since new or buy used?

i beat my poor lancer to death and it runs perfectly the only broken parts i have had were ones from when i hit a barricade at about 95mph thats broke some stuff but even after that i didnt let up much and its all still hanging together. i have about 45000 kms and they have been hard. love this car
