I honestly think that although we are lucky to get the VII, we missed out on one of the best looking rally cars out there, the Evo 5, 6 and 6.5. They look meaner, and have that riceiness, (sorry)
that makes you want to go buy some crazy rims and wings to put on. Only the 6.5 can pull of Marlboro Red and white rims. All you see when you look at the front of an Evo 6 is that hUGE FMIC, just awesome. The same thing happened with the WRX. When I see an old 2.5 RS, it just screams hard core rallying. The new one looks too friendly. Nissan is doing the same with the Skyline. The older R33-R34 look liked pissed off, fast freakin cars. The new R35 (supposedly coming to the U.S.) looks, uhhhh weird. I don't know, I guess I'm just bored of waiting.

 

I think it's a tie fer me.....I'd take either one

 

As far as looks go.. EVO VII wins hands down!!!!

 

If the TME were to come from Evolution Imports and the VII from MMSA, then I would choose the VII because of servicing and warranty issues.

If both came from MMSA, then I would definitely choose the TME.

 

I'd take the TME over the new VII. Just like you said, it's like looking at a 2.5RS vs. the new WRX. The WRX may be faster, but my heart is with the look of the old RS chassis. Turbo an RS and you've a mean machine!!!

I also like the TME steering wheel and interior much more. Can't argue with the warranty issues for the majority, but I am willing to sacrifice those aspects. It's more of a nostalgia thing, even though it's not old really.

I'll take the Evo VII not because of the look, but for the interior. The new platform is also stiffer and larger. I feel the VII is a nicer every day car, not just for rallying.

I would take the VII over the TME. The VII seems to be a more balanced platform than the TME.

 

weight it out Evo 6 vs Evo 7.....um i would take the 6. I like the look better, more of the original evo line and i like the wing a lot (agressive). the Evo 7 took a big step from many things. Maybe for better but I like the 6 better. Prob not as fast or handles as good as the 7 but hey...beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

 

VII. I like the looks better..it's a little cleaner...it doesn't have the tacky, bulky look that the VI has with its front end and wing. Just my opinion....not that I wouldn't like to have a VI TME though

 

I loved the style of the 6.5 but i mean come on look how beautifult he VII looks as well.

 

EVO VII looks much more European... a little Vauxhaulish. EVO VI looks like it was styled with parts sourced straight off the shelf at Pep Boys. The VI looks too much like a riced out Honda.

 

never EVER compare an EVO to a Honda!
given the choices i'd take an EVO6...but no EVO will ever match the style of the 3 or 4.

 

the only thing i don't like about the evo VII is the location of that damn license plate frame. man that has got to be the most tacky looking thing other than that i like the evo VII best. but put the evo VI wing on the VII and that would be just SSSSSSSWWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTTTTT
