hood

I designed a grill for my car because frankly, the stock one is pretty ugly. The problem is that the new one is very... revealing. It doesn't hide much, so seeing that piece of metal behind it is kinda unsightly. Would I comprimise the stuctural integry of the hood if I cut out that middle piece?

PS: Sorry I don't have any pics for you guys (no digital camera ), so I hope you know what I'm talking about.

^ yeh.

If you just have mesh there get a tighter weave mesh and if its painted black, mabey look into painting it silver, it would kinda make your eyes stop at the grill. you wouldnt notice anything behind it if it was silver.
