Doing the 30K mile check dumb or not?

Well i just the 30K mile check done at mitsu along with the state inspection it all came out to $621 and that includes with taxes. I did feel a slight difference mainly in the brakes cause i messed with the e-brake alot. Anyways i just wanted to know if any1 thought that is to much money cause i sure do think so but im still happy now im saving up for a service manual so i never have to do it again.

wow THAT IS CRAZY MONEY...
State inspection in ny alone is $40.00. And your car only has 30k on it and wow, car would pass inspection w/o actually going through the dyno process. Brakes alone on our cars, you should only get charged max $150. Do it yourself, Even CHEAPER! so for a tune-up? there's not much involved, besides tightening, or replacing belts, spark plugs and cables. Along w/ other little things.

Give or take, 300 is what you should be paying for all these things. Dealers over-charge.

It's not dumb. If you can afford it, it's very wise to be safe. Now, if anything goes wrong, you can easily show that you've been keeping the car carefully maintained.

in all due honesty, even if you could afford it, you're absolutely being over-charged. We drive lancers, not Bimmers.
