Did i just ruin my tint?

I was cleaning the inside of my car windows yesterday with tint safe cleaner, and the drivers window had this streak going down it (something probably just caught along where the window actually goes down), so i took a paper towel and the spray and applied a bit more pressure onto it. Now i have a good bit of bubbles showing up in that exact area. Did i just ruin my tint on that window?

a dibibibibibibibibibibibibi thats' all FOlks!

There was probably something stuck in between the panel and the window which caused a scratch in your tint. If you put liquid on it and applied pressure, you most likely deactivated the glue ( if liq. has amonia) and allowed a air/liquid bubble to get in.

Try to squeeze the air/liquid out towards the direction of the streak/scratch... if not, you're going to have to replace the entire tint!

OR you could man up and be honest. go tell them you screwed up, and if they're cool, then maybe they'll hook you up for cheap. I know the tint shop I go to would hook me up.

your tint is junk if it did that (junk meaning not fixable not bad quality) ........ just go to the tint shop and tell them you were cleaning the window and what happened and I'm sure they will at least give you a good deal on retinting the window if they don't replace it for free (which IMO they should) thats what we would do when I worked at a tint shop..... that shouldent happen no matter how hard you rub the window or if you use a cleaner that isn't tint safe...... the only thing the tint safe cleaner does is keeps the tint from fading and turning purple

Oh its Eagle 1 tint safe formula, i think i just put too much pressure on it. My tint shop will definately fix it, im buddies with the owner, but the problem is, i wont ever have enough time to swing my car down there.

LOL@TINTS. So does that mean multiple layers of tint Mr. autols??

I've never heard of TINT messing up because of too much pressure applied. Sounds like you got a ****ty tint job.
