my backseat looks like his lol putting neons in...gotta hide all the wires. and it saves weight...prolly a good 20 lbs. lol

although the 2 Three ball bowling bags taht prolly aweight 80-90 lbs in my trunk doesn't help to much...

for the record you can get a salvage engine and tranny from a Lancer for 1700 or less.. engine block is about 700.. tranny about the same I think.

Thats not that bad . . . but i would assume installation would be a lot of money for those parts if you had no clue on how to install a new transmission or engine?

Installing an engine and/or tranny isn't all that difficult when you have the tools (mainly an engine hoist and tranny jack). Although, keeping track of what you pull off the motor can be tedious.

Any word on the project? This thread was resurrected from the dead.

All i can say is i would much rather pay to have it done.. i dont trust myself with anything about the intake or muffler or headers lol.

to be honest i would want a shop to **** up on the engine, that way wouldnt they have to pay for it ? rather than me **** up and then i have to pay for it.

ok ok well i guess i can post an update
right now im in the middle of doin some machine work to the block
putting in postons and rods
the secret weapon is the EMS
car is compleatly gutted right now waiting for an open paint booth
on the way wilwood brake kit
jic coil overs (hopefully)

and as far as the color goes im thinkin maybe sti blue but im open to sugestions just keep in mind my interior is already blue

why not a pearlescent midnight blue? i think it'd look hott...or do a pearlescent blue, with ghost stripes or ghost flames or something weird like that. i dunno maybe im just weird

i saw a grandam that was black with ghost blue flames and it looked hott

the color sounds ncie but im not a fan of ghost flames or anythign like that not because theyt look bad or anythign but i change my mind like the weather changes so id prolly get tired of em after a week or so lol

well the car isnt like painted or anythingyet so it just looks liek aosme bondo and some bare metal it shoud be gettin painted any day now (still holding breath)

yea i got really sick last year so i was unable to work on it untill recently ive been starting to feel better and the weather is gettin nier so i can go out and do things to it and what not

but yea its been not unpainted but spots have been unpainted for a year
