Funds For Mods????

Just curious, I'm not the wealthiest person in the world and would still like to up the performance on my car, only prob is, in august I'll be starting my 360 a month payments on it, not to mention my numerous other bills. How are all of you funding your modifications on your cars? I work full time, but it's a cheap *** job, and I'll prolly be getting a second job. Are you guys paying for everything with credit cards or sumthin?

Well...im kidna tight for money for a bit. But here is my way.

I used a low APR credit card for the most part. That way i didnt have to wait for payday to order parts. Then i would just pay as much as i could back into the credit card, and if i couldnt apy it all off, the APR wouldnt bury me.

Now that ive almost got my credit card debt gone again (due to other things) , and since i have a fairly decent balance in my checking account, ill probably just save and pay cash for stuuf outright.

Depending on what you get......

The first thing I'm doing is eyelids cause they are fairly cheap

Then I think I'm going for the system and the window tint....I might actually refrain from a body kit though, cause everyone has one.

As of right now, I'm broke too....my car's only coming up on her three month birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO HER).....CC's would be OK, but once you realize the power of it, you'll be charging everything....I had that problem, now I'm DEEP in debt, damnit.

I just work. Large things go on the CC, small things go on my check card (which essentially means they're paid for as I buy em). I'm in some good, healthy debt right now, but paying it off at a decent rate. A word to the wise: Don't spend what you can't quickly pay back. A good deal can quickly turn into paying way too much with credit card interest.

That is some great advice.

I also pay for everything with my debit card or another cash equivalent. Keeps me in line by not overspending, which is easy to do.

I sit here and look at credit reports all day. What did you expect me to say?

As you can see, this is how to avoid the credit card "black hole". Very effective too, seeing as how interest rates are soo freakin low
