IF it fits, it'll work fine. But I have little trust in eBay crap.

Well, it kinda depends. Are you racing your Lancer? Do you need to increase tortional stiffness?

To be honest, I doubt it. You're much like I was a few years ago - "ooh, they sell it for my car, I should get it!" Over time, you'll start to learn that some mods are just worthless unless your particular useage of the car requires them.
For example, I'd love to get skidplates to protect the underside of my RS. But I'm realistic enough to accept that the only time I go off-road is when I park on my front lawn...

I doubt you race your car. I doubt you even street-race it around tight corners doing 120mph. So I can honestly say that you buying all kinda of chassis bracing and oil coolers would just be a waste.
99% of Lancer owners have a simple grocery-getter that we try to make a little faster and nicer. But it's important to recognize what is good for your car and what is a cool thing you don't need. (which many of us need to learn about spending in general)

For that matter I've stopped using both tower braces, the trunk bar, rear tie bar and watched my AX times get closer to the leaders and the car is more predictable (it especially helped the snap oversteer to remove the rear brace). I was going to get an "H" brace for under the car but then I realized- I scrape on everything as it is, do I need something that will make my car effectively lower? no. I can't see what the item in question is because of WebSenseless at work, but I'll imagine it's not going to help much Now that I know how the car REALLY handles at speed (like 60 through a slalom) I may reintroduce the front tower brace just to see if there's any benefit.

If you need a suspension mod, go with the bigger rear sway bar. Then get matched, adjustable height coilovers and dampers (like Tein Basic or SS).

DJ: for one-piece-parts (like pulleys and short shifters) and non-electrical parts (like +25MPG resistors ) eBay is generally fine; tower braces are a notable exception. It's the SELLERS that are the problem- if they misrepresent or simply ship the wrong thing and won't take care of it then that's a problem. My $0.02 on the subject

more then likely your front strut tower brace wont do much as our struts are connected to the firewall

i used to have one of these in my mustang, and it was pretty useless, infact i still have part of it sitting around, after snapping the other parts, they arent all that useful unless as was said before you are taking corners so fast that your gonna break something else going into the corner.

well my only curiosity in getting struts and such, is because of my latest mishap, where i slid and hid the curb going about 20-30mph, and now the frame of the car might be bent. Its not 100% sure yet, i will find out tomorrow. Im just looking into ways of making the car more sturdy in general. Just incase this is a weak point for the lancer.

oh no, that won't keep your cars frame from bending if you hit something really hard. Braces are mainly for keeping the frame sturdy during cornering
