Header and Greddy Db
I know this has been covered numerous times but my question on this kinda combines a few dif things and I was hoping to get a better idea on the particular setup im looking into running.
RMR SRI
RPW Header
RRM Bored Throttle Body
Greddy Catback or Custom
For those who have a Greddy Catback with headers how much louder is the car over stock, and does the sound go up a lot inside the car. I'm looking to just add a little extra hp for now so i dont want to make the car unlivable (which is very subjective). I'd rather not have my car be extremely loud.

At one point I was running:
RMR intake
RPW header
RRM test pipe
RMR exhaust
It sounded like ***.
Exhaust note was getting high pitched, and the car was literally farting because of how free the exhaust piping was. Even now, having put my 2nd cat back on it's still much higher pitched than before the header.
I'm thinking that by increasing my exhaust piping from stock and 2.25" as it is to a full 2.5" (highflow cat included), it should bring the exhaust note back down to a rumble or close. There's members in our car club that have just 2.5" mufflers and they sound hella deep, even with a test pipe.
As for cabin noise, when I had my old setup it was pretty silent. With my current setup (RMR intake + exhaust, RPW header) it can get a little noisy.

One more thing to add, since I got totally sidetracked, is that if you just want mild gains without excessive noise, get a test pipe or highflow cat. Getting the Greddy will more than likely increase the noise level of your car a lot more than what it seems like you're wanting to get.
i have 2.5 exhaust, test pipe, header, throttle body, and CAI. It gets LOUD, but its worth the gains. I just think its gay when people will put a loud muffler on there car to get that sound. its just silly.
I'm gonna go ahead and clear this all up. My boy Paul has everything you just mentioned. Injen CAI, RRM headers and the GReddy cat back. I have heard his car drive by and I have been in the car. Standing at idol there is no noise what so ever, driving very little and flooring it lets just say wow. I think its a excelent set up. Only dis is that the Check Engine light came on with the RRM headers. But other then that its really quite awesome.

Thanks for responses, i also should mention that with just my rmr intake right now and with my new tires the cabin noise has gone up considerably. Do you notice the headers and exhaust sound in the cabin mostly at highway speeds when your in the 3k and up rpm range.
