There are several very useful and very complete mod path threads on here. If you just click on search, then go to advanced search and highlight the US Lancer section, then put in Mod Path or something like it it will narrow down your search hits. Goodluck

Intake and exhaust give very little gains, maybe a 2 hp for the intake and 3 or 4 for the exhaust. Unfortunately our engines don't respond well to small bolt ons.

turbo.

use the search up top and have a look round, you will find reviews and dyno stats on virtually every bolt on mod, and turbo's,. that way you can decide for yourself what would be the best option

Get a custom Exhaust no larger than 2.5 in diameter all the way back from the cat. Intake I'd just get the Ebay cheap one and spring for a K&N filter.

That said, before you do anything do as others have suggested and devise a path to upgrade. Don't just buy stuff now but things that fit that plan for the long run.

Just to make this thread more confusing, I'll throw in my two cents.

Leave the engine stock and beef up the suspension. You'll be a lot happier.

(This is why you don't ask for opinions on the Internet. We never agree. )

DIY SRI, leave the exhaust alone unless you are going turbo, keep your back pressure. Use that exhaust money on TB and IM and crank pulley. IMO

Oh yeah, do the advanced search described above, you will have plenty to read and make a better choice.

It's not the size of the motor thats the problem, the evo is only a 2.0 liter, it's our motors capability that's the problem.

No offense, but if you think our motor is small, you're in the wrong car.

2.0L is plenty. The serious pitfall of the Lancer motor is that the internals are weak. The only other problem that modders meet is much more simple - it doesn't matter what car you have. N/A mods are way too expensive for the little gains you earn. On a little import, boost is the only way to get serious power.

What did you expect, its a cheap econo car not a sports car. We used to be pretty competititve in our class but recently all the other manufacturers have been uping their game.
