New recall - C0508J, reflash #2

i got an SUPER DUPER MEGA ULTRA URGENT message from my local mitsu dealer saying there was a recall i need done asap. any one know what this could be? the recall number they gave me was: C0508J

i hope its a recall of the entire car and they give you an evo instead Did you get a call or something in the mail?

wow there are alot for my year too! What have people gone to fix. I have only done the emissions recall

ya, i got the notice on a postcard. from when ive owned the car, the only recall i had was the one for the fan controller and also the one for the warm up cat thing with the ecu that they had to undo anyways

i hope its a recall of the entire car and they give you an evo instead
ya never know...

my warm up car recall has still not been done. Stupid check engine light.

ok, i just got off the phone with my dealership and they said they have to "reflash the computer" AGAIN even after they did with the warm up cat recall...yay its scheduled for thursday so ill get some more insight and fill ya in then

Only one I got and went to was the fan controller. The HVAC and Cat reflashes, I never got anything. I'm about to consider the HVAC recall. That d@mn knob has been difficult lately...

ok, i just got back from my dealership for the recall. from what he tells me, it was a recall to reinitalize the throttle position sensor (TPS). the only difference i felt was in low rpms like idle at around 700, it boggs out if it drops below that at all when you accelerate (5spd) is now gone. i guess it was worth the 30 min wait time, but i still dont understand how it was so urgent.

If they didn't say it was urgent, you'd never come in. Unless they threaten you with imminent death, people just go "eh, I'll get it done later."
