Does this happen after you were driving or when your car stands still on the parking lot? Try to feel where exactly you can feel water and spot where it is going or coming from. SeS light doesn't sound good...do it fast to avoid electrical problems/ECU problems.

If I remember, this is a pretty common problem. Take off your shroud around the windshield at the base of the wiper blades and remove all the junk caught in there.

You're right wiretap but he mentioned the rear passanger floor which kind of confuses me.

hey

thx for the quick responses. Well i pulled my passenger seat. pulled my back seats. took off the console and b pillar and i pulled the carpet. i'm leeting it dry and in a couple days ill do a water test on it. it seems like it could be coming from the front. it happens only when it rains and it's not the a/c drainage as far as i know. any ideas guys? thanks a bunch.

I haven't heard of any other leaks in the lancer other than the front under the windshield shroud. If you think it is coming from the back end of the car, check the antenna area, look under the car for holes that could have been made by road debris piercing the floor, etc. There really isn't a whole lot it can be other than seals on the windows like they missed the caulking around the front/rear windshield at the factory.

Everythings stripped and it doesnt look like its coming from the trunk b/c there's dust all along there and it wasn't wet. the b pillar has foam at the bottom and the foam isnt wet so it's not coming from the b pillar. it has to be coming from the front or a crappy welded floor board. Where would it be coming in from the windsheild shroud? thanks

ps. im also putting all new drain plugs in b/c the ones taht are in there are in crappy condition. the leak may have come from these even though the dealership "resealed the faulty ones" it turns out that the front is real wet too, since my car was at an incline the front didn thave as much water as the back.

My first guess is to look at the bottom left corner of the car. Look in there if you can find traces of water. That's where I found my problem.
If not there, look at the passanger side in the center and on the sides. Let us know about findings and progress with details.

What do you mean? w/my carpet pulled i see in the top right (where the passenger feet are in the corner) there is a lot of black. i bet it could be the ac drainage but i dont know where that is or how to unclog it.

Mine does the same. When i'm driving and when Im parked. My whole left side gets wet. I think the drivers side gets wet because my hood popped open and it wasnt fix right. But the back passerger in my side gets wet. I checked it, and the top of the carpet was dry, but the bottom was wet. I touched the carpet on the car, and it was dried too! It sounds crazy and impossible, but now I have no clue where this is coming from either.
