Sportback Rear Brake Fun

I went to do the rear brakes on my Sportback LS today. Rotors, pads, the whole deal The left side was fine but the right side, $%^#@@!@#!.

I cannot get the pads to go on. The piston is all the way back, the rotor is new. It seems like the outer brake pad has too much material. The caliper will not go back over the rotor and I can't move the pads any further away. These are Mitsu OEM rotors and pads too.

If these were the wrong brake pads, then the left side wouldn't have gone on either? I mean, they're an axle set. WTF is going on here!?

Yeah brake pads are no match for a belt sander

Well, I got the brake pad on. No belt sander required. I don't know if the caliper was a little hung up or what, but my brother came over and it went right on for him. Making an *** out of me. Oh well, at least it's done.

I'm just glad I have 4 wheel disc brakes. My Focus had rear drums and they were a pain to deal with.
