Mitsubishi dealerships suck
OK so lets say the Evolution finally does make it to the US. The problem still remains that their dealerships suck and for years the DSM and Mitsubishi owners have been very unhappy with the dealerships. Should Mitsubishi try and clear things up with them first rather then trying to add a real sports car to the lineup? Everybody I know who bought a GVR4 or a Eclipse has had problems with the dealerships trying to void the warranty or declining to do work under warranty. When they are forced to finally do the work under warranty they usually deliberately make the cars owner wait an extended period of time before they even start to work on the car. Basically discouraging them from having anything done under warranty. So do you think they should clean up their dealerships before they try to market the Evolution in the US? I'd love for them to sell the car in the US but with as bad as they marked up the pricing ont he Eclipse GSX and GTS-T and the way they would treat current owners they kind of make me want to hold off on any celebration.
I dunno. They are pretty nice here. When they were fixing my dads 3000GT, they gave him a brand new Galant as a free loaner. Very few other dealers short of BWM or Mercedes will do that for you. But, then my step mom worked for the dealership, so that might have had some influence.
