We are getting a Manual DE. We think we will be able to do most things for it off that platform.

Tell them the ad would be that much sweeter if it had some RRM goodies on it, then throw in the idea that they should offer your parts at the dealership with warranty lol.

I know this might be going off topic a bit, but why is it that mitsu doesn't do that? They do it for Works don't they? And RMR? They give RRM cars early, they might as well offer their parts.

It's not mitsubishi that decides to carry certain products, it's the individual dealerships. This is why some people get away with modding their car and maintaining a warranty while others can't even put a catback on without their dealership having a **** about it.

I would be pissed if they said that to me about any of my mods, I'd pull out the law about the mod having to cause the problem for the warranty not to cover it. Oh well, maybe one day.

Well the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act is all fine and dandy, but how many here actually have the legal knowledge and the money to fight a dealership who refuses to fix a car under warranty? Lets face it, we (the import/sports compact community) are not very well liked at the moment at any level of law enforcement. I would wager that 99% of the time, it simply wouldn't be worth fighting, you'd simply have to accept it. The key is to be honest with your dealership first and find out how they feel about mods. The same goes for insurance, before I bought my turbo I asked my insurance whether I would still be covered and surprise surprise I had to switch policies. I'm glad I found out now rather than after an accident when I'm simply told "**** off, your car was modified, we're not covering it and we're dropping you".

Yeah don't worry I'm not trying to get on your *** or anything like that, I just posted that so we don't get a bunch of people coming on here complaining about how they did X mod to their car, broke it and pleaded Magnuson-Moss to the dealership to no avail.
