It's great marketing strategy. The Lancer is ultra affordable, so that'll be the first car the 2F2F spawn go for. Then there's always the option of getting the more powerful Eclipse. There's no need to have a kid in an Evo cuz 1) they won't let you in the damn car anyway and 2) it's out of the price range of the target market.

Personally I can't wait for all the aftermarket parts to get here. I can wait, however, for all the rice to subside after the movie comes out in two weeks.

 

hahaha! i just saw it, it came on twice in like 30 minutes. funny as hell, i love the end where the two crackheads were pretending they were in the evo and eclipse from 2f2f too funny man, too funny

 

I actually saw it about an hour ago (3 am). Pretty damn funny with the two dudes screaming.

::16 year old kid:: "Where is the EVO i want to testdrive it?"
::Salesman:: " EVOs are 30,000."
::16 year old kid:: " oh..."
::Salesman:: "But take a look at this beautiful Lancer OZ rally"

 

i thought in the next 3 or 4 months the lancer ralliart was replacing the OZ? either way i'm just dreading the comments that i know people will make once the movie comes out about modified lancers. I'm sure a lot of people are going to assume that the only reason i worked on my lancer was because of that movie, totally ignorant of the fact that i have been working on it before the 2f2f commercials even came out and the reason i like the car has nothing to do with the movie.

 

Agree - there's a lot of haterz here in Altus AFB. I haven't seen the commercial myself but I did see the Evolution VIII commercial. Its pretty kool - I like it when they said :...we created a religion". So So true...

 

i feel two ways bout it.. 1) out of like the 5 other lancers at my school i'm the only modding it up and making it stand out amoung the others i just want my car to be special...i mean its not an evo but still just owning a lancer makes me feel soo damm good..with the all the civics and other cars i feel this car is orginal and feel part of something differen't when i drive....2) after the movie our cars are def going to get a lot more attention its going to kik *** knowing that we have the car...but then pisses me off that all the haters of the lancer will just flip flop and think its cool...but i guess thats life..
