Hey guys i am trying to decide if i should get a oem carbon fiber hood or a vented carbon fiber hood for my 02 lancer??? what are your opinions? also does anyone know any good sites to buy one? so far the cheapest ive seen was on ebay. thanks alot guys

 

I like the evo VII style in cf.... reason is the seibon evo style like mine has the hump in front of the vents.. I like it but not as much as w/o.. there is also a reverse vent CF hood floating around. few guys have it, ive never seen one for sale. thats my fav.

I wouldnt go oem CF.. To boreing in my opinion although it is a hella clean look.

I do like my seibon evo style because in the summer, I open the vents and th amount of heat that exits is crazy.....

I got my hood from RRM. Was $600 plus like $170 shipping from CA to ME... shipping nailed me... worth it tho. Fitment is perfect. Couldnt ask for better... and the weave was great. very few flaws.

Make sure you keep it outa the sun tho. mine has started yellowing slightly.

 

o ok im lookin at this hood on ebay right now its at a good price im wondering if it comes with a grill or if its just the grill

I think that hood comes with the grill. I personally am not a huge fan of that grill. The seibon comes with no grill. I bought the CF evo style from RRM to go with mine.

yeah the vis has the side vent too, but I have heard that they don't have the best fitment more times than not! I got mine from Accolade when they first got the SEIBON cf hoods and got it for under 500. NOt sure if they still sell them or not, but I know the price went up cause ther was some miscommunication and it was sold too cheap. It was one of the few times when I actually found something I wanted and was not broke at the time! LOL Def. get the vented though OEM sux and does not really serve any purpose other than looking clean!

 

i will send accolade a pm about there hoods. i have already ordered tehre extreme fenders from them just waitin on the FEDEX MAN to show. but i will keep searchin

 

I dont think accolade deals with seibon anymore. I ordered my seibon CF trunk through Dave and in his last PM he stated they werent gonna deal with them anymore. This was during the shortage and shipments were taking just to long (over 4 months for my trunk)

 

Evo style looks the best IMO, OEM just plain and ricey

hey thanks guys for all your help as far as carbon fiber hood info. i actually went to my local import shop www.topspeedchicago.com and i ordered a hood through them i ordered the evo style carbon fiber hood from VIS should recieve it in about 1-2 weeks
