If you already had a predetermined stance why ask for our opinions?

I think he wanted to know about this pulley, not all parts in general.

there is a big difference in the Unorthodox pulley and RRM's pulley; the diameters are completely different. Unorthodox is an under-drive pulley (a UDP decreases the pulleys diameter in effort to 'under drive' the accessories and take more stress off the motor). RRM is a lightweight pulley with the same diameter as your OEM pulley. UDP's are supposed to free up more HP. however, the difference in the two is not very noticeable (i had a RRM one as well)

i don't think he had a predetermined answer in mind; i think he was just looking for a real answer and not a bunch of people ranting and raving about the trash they bought off Ebay. i do agree that Ebay is GENERALLY not a good source for quality car parts, but that doesn't mean there aren't any of them on there.

If you wanna save cash and get an eBay item.. Im not against it, as long as you know what youre getting..
I wouldnt get any part if the seller didnt know what he was talking about, after Ive addressed my concerns.
At best, they do make parts for the Mirage engine (same thing) that are more affordable than Lancer parts; I would look up a Mirage Under. Pulley instead and see what comes up..
Generic eBay parts can really cause problems in the future due to not being tested or made out of the right materials, or even fashioned correctly.. so You gotta ask yourself "Am I buying this part to increase performance, or just to say that I have this part?" ..If the latter isnt the answer, then I think you know what the right thing to do is... Wait 'til youre able to get the right part.

Import Tuner went over this in several issues, where they tested aesthetically identicle but generic eBay parts, against their counterparts from proven manufacturers like GReddy, HKS, etc. and the results were def. : "Get Real."

does that mean that Unorthodox doesn't know what they are talking about since their website reads:

"• Real HP & torque gains across entire RPM range
• One of the highest HP/Torque per dollar gains on the market"

I'm using a generic UDP bought from ebay. I've had it for 4 years now without any problems. The only problems i had was my stock UDP was chipped like crazy some how.
