got reply from mitsu today..

well. i wrote ac omplaint letter about the quality of the paint on our lancers. i explained that numerous people have the same issues (side skirts chipping/hood chips/fade spots in paint). they left a call back number, and i'll probably call em tomorrow.

kinda nervous

theyre probably gonna say:"well, you can take the car to your dealer and have them repaint the part with chips. it should be under warranty"...

meh. im just gonna let them know they need to reconsider their quality control over there.

I've got ghetto cover ups on my hood...fenders...side skirts...gas door...and I just painted over the chip I found on the B pillar. I wasn't going to bother, but the car's already starting to rust.

I just found a paint problem on my passenger door. Looks like chipped paint. Gonna try to get it worked through the CarMax dealer here

I dont have any of these "paint chipping" problems, like ive heard on here...what is it that makes the paint chip like that? stuff in the air? stuff on the road?....

I haven't any problems either, knock on wood... I did order mud flaps for it, and they don't friggin fit!! The side skirts obstruct the installation, and the parts guy told me they would fit... I just firgured they wold keep stuff from coming off the tires and chipping the paint... if anyone has ideas for other mud flaps, please let me know...
