Belts

How much do the belts run? i'm replacing the crank pully with RRM and going to replace the blets and mit said it was like 90bucks with tax!

is there anywhere else cheaper?

i have a 04 oz

They are 15-20 at just about any auto parts store. I have used Goodyear Gatorback, Dayco and Gates on my car and they are all fine. I think the Goodyear is cheapest and it's available at Autozone.

yeh don't get them from the dealership
go to autozone.
the timing belt is $20
and the accessory belts are $20 for both of em

Is it safe to get a generic timing belt? I am going to replace mine soon and was going to pony up for the OEM one.

Why not? I highly doubt uses special rubber, you know?

In the end, we're talking about a rubber belt. They're really all the same. Hell, Subaru uses a belt to run the alternator... And the NAPA timing belt I run looks exactly like the stock one I removed.
