Lancer Needed to Test Turbo

Shark Racing will be importing a Turbo kit from RPW in Australia. The kit was originally designed for the 4G93 engine, but they are almost positive it will work with the US Spec Lancer Engine. We need a person, preferably in Southern California, who is VERY mechanically inclined, knows the ins and outs of turbocharging, and has contacts for getting the kit installed and tuned on a quick timetable. You will not have to pay for the kit until it is installed on your car, and proven to work. If it does not work, we will take the kit back. You will have to pay for/arrange install, but if the kit works, you will get about a 1000 dollar discount off of the retail prices on it.

You will have a choice between Stage 1, or 2. Stage one is good for 187 flywheel hp, stage 2 214 hp.

Stage One's components:

Core Components

Davies Craig 10" Thermo Fan - Radiator
Davies Craig 11" Thermo Fan - Air Con
Turbo Outlet Gasket
Turbo Air Outlet Flange 3 Bolt - T-25
Turbo Air Outlet Gasket 3 Bolt - T-25
Custom Exhaust Manifold - Lancer 1.8
Garrett T25 Ball Bearing Turbocharger 7psi
Custom 2 1/2" Dump pipe & flex Pipe
Turbo Exhaust Flange Gasket
GT25 1/2" Drain with 4" Tube
Oil Drain Gasket
Bosch Standard Blow Off Valve
Heat Proof Wrapping for Rubber Hoses
Turbo Feed oil hose complete
Turbo oil return line complete
Turbo Cooling Hose Fittings complet
Modified Injectors
Total Of Above

Optional Extras

Heat Treatment of Exhaust Manifold
Vernier Camshaft Sprocket
Oil - Air Seperator
Type 3 Turbosmart blow off valve
Decompression Head Gasket 0.060" Thick

Stage 2 components:

Sounds like a good opportunity for someone who has the money and wants to get a good deal. Whover gets it, make sure you give us all an update on this one.

Is this a one off, or are you testing to see the viability of selling the kit in higher quantities?

Well, its a kit that already exists. However, we are hoping that it works with little or no modification on the US Lancer. If so, it will be available immediately for sale.

Sounds pretty sweet...good luck with that all you Lancer guys and gals.

I would definately highly reccomend the 55mm oversized throttle body...I have a same-sized throttle body on my Saturn after upgrading from the stock 52mm, and I like it a lot....It's definately worth that $$$ that I paid.

It's not RRE's Lancer. It's Modern Image's. RRE was tapped to build the turbo.
