Question What the deal with leasing the new 08 lancers?

Why can't I find any Mitsubishi dealers around me to lease (Northern NJ). No one wants to lease the car, I get "because its a brand new car/model" excuse... Anyone gotta clue to this? I was seriously ready to drop a down payment today at Ramsey for their Grey GTS with Sun & Sound and Nav & Tech Package installed.

I think, leasing is a GREAT option, especially for ANY american car that depreciates in value quickly.

i got about 2 years of college left.. i make little less than $500/m doing part time... i was hoping to see maybe less than $350 a month.. i think i'll be able to buy the car with no problem at the end of a 36-48 month lease (i should have graduated by then)

however they've quote me to finance the car for 36 months at almost $600, and 48 at almost $500..

well they gave me a call just a couple minutes ago if i was still intrested in leasing, but its almost $500/m to lease with $3,000 down.. looks like its out of my budget.. is $350 unreasonable to lease with $2,000 down for a 22k car??

^Yeah! That lease quote is BS! You can lease (with approved credit of course) a '07 Lexus 350 4,200 down and 419 mo.

$22,000? Thats kinda alot for your income. Sounds like your getting a fully loaded GTS.. U dont wanna go with a GTS that doesnt have any options. U can buy a after market stereo system even navi for cheaper then the dealer will give you... That way instead of leasing a $22,000 car you will lease one around $18,000 or less which would make your payment go down of course.

I work for a mitsu dealer and we dont really lease either. Sales manager says Mitsus go down in value too fast and if they leased a vehicle for 3yrs they would make no money.
