Buying Used Parts

Has anyone ever bought a parted out turbo kit? I plan on going turbo and I'm tempted to save a ton of money buying used. But first I wanted to know if anyone else has ever done that before and whether or not they had any problems with it. Thanks

Yes, I bought my kit used. No problems, I got exactly what I paid for.

I'm either selling and buying an evo VIII... or making a turbo lancer.

Buddy of mine baught a used RRM kit. Everything was nice and tidy. Few months later, he sold the kit to another Evom member, and still the kit was in great shape.

That's 1 story. Somebody else could tell you the very opposite. It all depends what kind of treatment the kit got from the previous owner.

It can go either way. It really depends on the person you're buying from. Always ask for lots of up to date pictures (request that the pictures have a dated piece of paper or something in them so you know they're new.) Otherwise you could end up with something that wasn't in the promised condition.

I bought mine used and besides there being a part or two missing it was in pretty good shape. You just gotta find a good deal.

i went used and turbocharged my '02 OZ for just over $800. I dont think youll find a better deal than that.
