Cabin Air Filter
First of all, this is not a new topic, but there is little info about this on the US lancer forums. Also, what info is on our pages seems to be filled with doubt and questions about the specifics.
I just wanted to let people with 2002-2003 US lancers know that, just like the 2003 evolutions, our car didn't come with a cabin air filter. We have the same space for one to fit, but no filter. This link describes the details of the installation that the dealership charges a crazy amount of money for (https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ad.php?t=92456). I put mine in yesterday in about 5 minutes.
PM mitsuorder for a dirt cheap genuine filter:

It's certainly not a "performance mod", but I can defintely tell a difference yesterday and today, especially with allergy season being here and city driving. Anyway, I hadn't seen any US lancer threads that could confirm that the part number etc. were the same for us, but the part number and installation steps are identical.
Just thought I would mention it, because it seems to really help.
Enjoy the spring time and have a good one.

Cool, cuz I was thinking about that yesterday! And what about this A/C leaking or drainage issue I've heard/read about? Is this near that area? Cuz the A/C something smells faintly musky...
During the drive yesterday and today, I didn't notice that usual faint odor that I beleive you are talking about. I used to get a slight odor even without AC. Definitely give is a shot bud, but be ready to clean a bunch of dirt/garbage out of the area that the filter goes in. I was seriously disgusted with mine.
It couldn't hurt, it's simple, and mitsuorder gives you a price you can't beat (because he's not making any profit on it)!
