Bye-bye OZ Lancer...Hello Navigator

My girlfriend just traded in her O2' Lancer OZ for a ballin' black w/grey interior 01' Lincoln Navigator. I guess the time will come when you grow out of sporty cars and step up and move to an SUV. We have my EVO to keep our speed hunger in check and chill in our new Navigator without having problems fitting our group of friends. I know I don't enjoy having people cramped up in my small 4door sedan and take away from the performance of the car because of the excess weight but now we get to roll in a luxurious sport utility vehicle. Next up, 22's or 24's

Dude, you know... you should consider when writing these things how arrogant that comes off. "Grow out of sporty cars and step up and move to an SUV." And the Navigator will not give you problems fitting your group of friends?

You know there are people who just may not like SUVs, short of offroading, and there are also people who will always like sporty cars above all else - it's not an age or maturity thing. Not to mention, who the hell buys a Navigator to fit in with friends? Don't your friends have taste at least?

You guys are taking this the wrong way. First, my girlfriend has always wanted an SUV from the start but was not ready to make that commitment to make that much payment on an SUV. Secondly, the reason why she had an OZ to begin with is because she knew is a great sport compact car and will be happy with it until she can afford an SUV and not to mention I was the deciding factor for her to get a Lancer over any other cars. Third, I never mentioned anywhere here that people should trade in their Lancer for a Navigator or for any other car for that matter. We just made a decision that fits for us and I guess for some reason some of you are getting all bent out of shape about it because I traded one of our cars for a different vehicle.

Thank you! This is exactly what I meant. Is about fitting the quantity of people in a larger vehicle over a much smaller vehicle in comparison.

My apologies... given that, the arrogance I read the first time is not really there anymore. Didn't mean to jump down your throat...

No way man...IMO, if you are getting an SUV, get it for the reason they made SUV's to begin with. That means it should be as big as possible That's why i prefer V-10 EXCURSION! Put an 8" lift and 40" tires on it and that thing is a beast.

big *** trucks

Well, the whole Lancer line up is an economy car but it is sporty. If it wasn't, why would anyone soop them up and performance parts manufacturer providing the parts to do it?
