Lancer GSR (not EVO)

Seem like most of us here are uncontrollably obsessed with the EVO. I just want to mention that its little brother, the Lancer GSR, is also a very capable performer. It’s equipped with an 1.8-turbo engine, output at 200hp, AWD (an ultimate sleeper to me, since it has the same body style as the normal Lancer/Mirage).

This car is phenomenal in OZ and NZ with an average price tag. I would be more than happy to settle for one of this baby if they’re available in US. However, the production of this car is ended as the new Lancer replace the current generation.

Lancer GSR...that was my parents' first car back then...they said they were newbie drivers but they are faster than most cars from the stoplight (not racing)......and they weren't pressing on the pedal hard...

I think it was the Lancer Turbo GSR

I have a friend who owned one of the Lancer GSR's. It was a fun car. Pretty light for a AWD car but the motor is basically the same as the turbo Mirage. The 1.8L turbo motor and AWD work really well together on that car. You can always swap a Evo front end onto them as well. Especially with shops like www.bodykit.co.nz selling them so cheap.
